English River First Nation has been partnering with other aboriginal groups through Tron Power and Mudjatik Enterprises for many years. This better enables the local communities to have their members trained and employed on these projects. The arrangement is beneficial to all the parties both in employment and profit sharing.

With a strong management team as the helm, the First Nation began to penetrate the Underground mining industry through a Joint Venture between Thyssen Mining Construction of Canada and created the Mudjatik Thyssen Mining Joint Ventures (MTMJV) which are exciting and unique ventures that partner with one of the largest mining contractors in Canada with several northern Saskatchewan communities on a 50/50 basis. Four underground development projects in northern Saskatchewan were awarded within six months of the agreement.

This particular joint venture has become one of the best known joint ventures in the province of Saskatchewan.

In 2005 Tron Power teamed up with Alliance Energy Ltd. a well established electrical company out of Saskatoon, to create a joint venture called AllTron Electric.
