Tron Power Inc. was established by the Des
Nedhe Development Inc., on behalf of the English River First
Nation through the acquisition of the assets and senior management
of a successful Saskatchewan-based construction company, Tron
Power Ltd. in 1997.
The company has a long-standing relationship
with the mining industry in northern Saskatchewan and is well-equipped
to deliver a full range of construction services. With the
skills experience of their management team and the commitment
of English River to invest in training and development, the
company is well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities
presented by new mining developments. Tron Power is well positioned
to offer top quality services to other customers, including
First Nation communities, and federal and provincial governments.
Our mission is total customer satisfaction.
We believe the achievement of this mission comes from our
commitment to quality workmanship, reliable service, cost
effectiveness, investment in training and apprenticeship,
northern participation and the spirit of cooperation. We will
accept no less. Our beliefs in fair and equitable hiring practices
ensure that our employees are the most qualified and reliable
people available anywhere.
Tron Power began operations in 1985. While
the company initially focused on providing electrical services
to construction projects and maintenance contracts, it quickly
diversified to provide heavy earth moving, and all aspects
of electrical, mechanical, pipelining, and environmental cleanup.
Tron Power's management team successfully led the company
into new markets. While the company maintained a strong local
presence, working in both northern and southern Saskatchewan,
it also expanded into the international arena, successfully
supplying up to 50 trades people to Cameco Corporations
Kumtor Project in Kyrgyzstan.
The northern mining industry in Saskatchewan
is a major source of income for Tron Power. Tron Power is
a leader in establishing and maintaining close working relationships
with northern people in completing contracts in their area,
with a participation rate of northerners at approximately
sixty percent. Tron Power has successfully implemented orientation
and training programs designed to increase the participation
of northern residents in their construction projects.
Tron Powers management team will continue
its commitment to providing excellent services and developing
the northern workforce under the guidance of the English River
First Nation Chief and Council.
